“Surgery can be confronting and overwhelming for many people so one of the treatments I love to offer clients is the ability to reduce the look of surgical scars. The two-dimensional laser and light combination delivers a treatment that facilities and speeds up the healing process, significantly reducing the look of scars” Sarah Hudson
What is Scarring?
Scarring is itself a biological process in the skin and part of the healing process that follows injury. Made of the same protein as skin, scar tissue is collagen composed in a different fibre formation than regular skin – making it less elastic – which is why it is highly noticeable.
How is Scarring treated?
A combined treatment approach of light therapy and laser and RF Micro-needling greatly improves the appearance of scarring owing to increased collage production, scar remodeling and reduction in redness.
Healite II technology features LED (Light Emitting Diode) Low-level Light Therapy (LLLT) which uses specific wavelengths of light to enhance the repair function of cells; shortening healing time, reducing pain and alleviating muscle tightness. By improving circulation and tissue repair, Healite II encourages new collagen formation whilst reducing inflammation – all helping to reduce scar formation.
Facilitating the natural would healing response, Laser Genesis and / or RF Micro-needling further stimulates collagen production. Specifically, it helps in the restructuring of collagen to help prevent textural irregularities and colour differences commonly seen in scars.

What can I expect?
Clients can expect increases in blood flow to the wound for enhanced cellular healing, relief from pain, decreased bruising, increased healing time and overall skin rejuvenation. As light therapy is very mild there is no damage to tissue, with nothing other than mild heat felt.
